The three friends saw the box hitting the bottom of the slope.
Chubby, the deer boy, started running.
“Come, let’s go down and see,” he told Willy, the monkey boy, and Charlie, the little rabbit.
The three friends ran to the other side of the meadow.
There was a path way that ran towards the slope from that end.
Charlie was the first to reach the bottom.
“The box is broken, look there’s a piece” he yelled.
Chubby picked it up.
“The box is broken right from the middle,” he noted.
“But where is what was inside?” Willy questioned.
“It must be somewhere close by,” Chubby replied.
The three friends looked for it among the shrubberies.
They found the other half of the box.
It had a hole.
“Look, something must have been hidden here,” Chubby pointed out.
Charlie and Willy too agreed.
They searched for about ten minutes.
“I am getting fed up with this,” Charlie grumbled.
“Then you wait. We’ll look for it,” Chubby said.
As then Charlie felt that he had stepped on something.
He lifted his leg to see what that was.
A big key. A beautiful big key.
Charlie couldn’t speak for some time.
He slowly picked it up.
It was heavy.
“I found it. I found it,” he yelled.
Chubby and Willy came running to him.
They stared at the key.
“So this must be it,” Chubby concluded.
“Must be a very important key, it’s very heavy,” Charlie agreed.
“We need to find out whose key this is,” he said.
“How to find that out now,” Willy asked.
That was a good question.
How to find the owner of the key?
